There are so many reasons to buy preloved fashion rather than brand new pieces.
Reasons I buy preloved:
- Price: Luxury bag prices keep climbing and honestly l can't keep up! Second hand bags are more affordable and you can even buy pristine condition bags for a fraction of the price.
- Limited edition pieces: The Takeshi Murakami collection this year sold out so quickly but it's possible to find vintage pieces from the early 2000s in great condition on the secondhand market. At Purse Peace we have a gorgeous multicolore mini speedy.
- Quality: luxury handbags are made to last. You can find bags that are 20+ years old that look as good as new. Rather than buying a replica or dupe, you can be assured you are getting that same authentic luxury quality without the high price tag.
- Resale: One great option with any luxury handbag purchase is to sell once you've outgrown your piece. However, if you buy new it's similar to driving a car off the lot and losing money immediately. Buying secondhand almost guarantees you'll get most of your money back (you might even profit!).
- Environment: Reduce, reuse, recycle. Reduce the plastic ending up in landfill by buying secondhand.
- And probably the most important! You don't have to deal with snobby and unpleasant sales assistants!
